Gained in Translation: The Case of Castithan

Baptiste Faussat is a French conlanger aiming for a PhD in linguistics. He intends to document underdescribed conlangs made for popular media and help conlanging become better known in the French-speaking world.

This short paper was written for a free-topic contrastive linguistics assignment. The author decided to mix business with pleasure by describing some interesting uses of a conlang markedly different from English in mainstream media and chose David J. Peterson’s Castithan.
